That’s right laugh lovers. The next 5-Finger Punchline comedy show/open mic is set for March 2012.  The date will be announced soon!

Hosted by the effervescent Jack Savell and the nevervescent Russell Mills (I kid!), this show is going to indiscriminately kick all kinds of ass. With 3 minute open mic spots inserted (hehehehe) between the booked comics, come down and test your might!

The Comic Bug is near the corner of Manhattan Beach Blvd and Aviation Blvd in Manhattan Beach, CA.

The event will be hosted by our Los Angeles based LADY GEEKS: the Space Pirate Queen, Gizzy B, Sailor Mizz and Fortune Cookie.

DefectiveGeeks.com is a geek girls blog, videos and podcast collective. We will be recording a podcast during the party and there will be audience participation with prizes. Trust me. We’re pretty funny.

There will also be a photobooth so come dress your nerd best– cosplayers are welcome.

This event is FREE and opened to the public! ALL are welcome, both boys and girls! Keep in mind that we might get a little over PG-13 during the podcast show but we will try to keep it kid friendly if you want to bring them along. We will have booze.

Lil Rae Cakes will be selling her famous cake balls so make sure to bring an appetite for desserts and cash.

Open Mic sign ups start at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7pm with your host, Jack Savell! Those who sign up get 3 minutes to bring the smackdown (there will also be a number of additional, pre-booked comics joining the lineup throughout the evening).

You always knew there was something funny about the Comic Bug (other than the smell), now you can be part of it… possibly even enhance it (but you’ll probably de-hance it* with your inferior comedy kung-fu).

C’mon, you’re not going to take that lying down, are you? Should I mention something about your mother? No? Then bring it!
